Class Descriptions

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga connects one pose to the next, synchronised with the breath in a graceful moving meditation that feels like a flowing dance.  The classes are often quite dynamic and moderately paced. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength while maintaining focus on alignment.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga moves at a slower pace with more opportunity to go deeper as we hold each pose for several breath cycles. Emphasis is on stability, alignment, mindfulness and maintaining a steady balanced breath.

Barre

Barre is a fun and challenging class that uses a combination of movements inspired by ballet, yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Each barre class includes a relaxing stretch and guided mindfulness practice.

Doof Yoga & Rainbow Barre Rave

Liz weaves a passion for dance and some bangin' bush doof tracks to create a fun, dynamic, flowing and energetic class that will challenge you and make you laugh at the same time. Whilst we maintain respect for tradition in both yoga and barre, we believe that there is always room for more playful silliness and joy in our lives.

Pilates Reformer

Invented by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates, the reformer is a bed like machine that uses body weight and spring resistance to increase strength and flexibility as well as improve coordination and balance. One of the best things about the reformer is its versatility, in other words, the reformer can train many parts and dynamics of the body in so many different ways with just one relatively sleek piece of equipment.

Bushwalk & Yoga Day Retreat

Each month, we meet at a different location in Victoria within 1.5hours drive of Melbourne. The full day retreat includes bushwalking at a steady pace with an experienced guide, yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, breathing techniques as well as a delicious and healthy lunch. It's an opportunity to connect with nature, your body, your breath, your self and others in the community.

If you're interested in joining us please get in touch with Liz on 0401 607 850 or hello@beherenowwellness.com.au.

Happy Kids Yoga

We use a variety of fun, interesting, creative and age appropriate ways to engage the kids. The Happy Kids Yoga program builds flexibility & strength and improves coordination, balance & posture.  In addition to the physical benefits, our program helps calm the mind, improve concentration & self-discipline, expands self-awareness & awareness of others, nourishes their creativity & imagination and improves their self-esteem, leading to better decision making.  We teach compassion and respect for others, our environment and ourselves. Quiet time is an important part of every class.  We use guided imagery & breathing techniques to lead them into relaxation.

Please visit www.happykidsyoga.com.au or phone Liz on 0401 607 850 if you're interested in booking the Happy Kids Yoga program at your school or childcare centre.
